Hemp ‘Scents’

I cannot drink milk. Therefore, I cannot have alfredo sauce. This has lead me on a quest. A quest that has been about a year and a half long.
Milk, for me, is an enemy. It cause agonizing pain and horrible skin issues. The reason for this, I believe, is a lactose intolerance and an intolerance for the chemicals in most milk products that are used as emulsifying agents. For expediency’s sake, the list can be found here:

I also have issues with the use of pesticides and herbicides that are used on the feed the cows eat but that is an whole other article.
So, my quest has led me to almond milk which sadly uses the same emulsifiers, artificial flavours and other carcinogenic ingredients as does milk. As does rice milk, soy milk, and most other milks. Then I found hemp milk.
Now, even though my chosen brand of hemp milk contains Xanthan gum and organic guar gum my research showed that, for my own use, in reasonable amounts, was safe and I could digest it wonderfully but I take 100 billion probiotic. A good article is here for xanthan gum:

and here for guar gum:

and acacia gum which is covered in the same article.

I use Manitoba Harvest Hemp for many reasons. It is readily available in my area, reasonably priced non gmo verified, certified organic and I like it. Frankly, I like all of the products that I have ever bought from them and they are Canadian.

No, I am not getting paid to promote them or any other great deal with free stuff. It is the best and safest alternative I have found to milk. If you have digestive issues, you may want to test it first. I know that you can take the product back to the store and get your money back if you are not satisfied.

As far as my alfredo sauce recipe, well it’s easy:

use your normal recipe and replace the milk ingredients with hemp milk and thicken it with ground hemp seeds if you cannot tolerate imported real parmesan.
I use this one:

Use lots of fresh organic garlic, basil and I like spinach in mine.
